The World of Dungjuka
Imaginary friends from another world, living quietly in ours.
Dungjuka was born from my childhood imagination. When I was young, I believed the ingredients in my mother’s kitchen were strange living creatures. Dungjuka came from an onion in the refrigerator, where its roots had begun to grow.
Origin of Dungjuka
Dungjuka lives in a parallel world called DnDung. Sometimes, they slip into our reality through spaces, buildings, and objects. I believe many children experience this kind of imagination. Dungjuka became a representation of an imaginary friend, one who appears when we feel isolated, coming from another world within the imagination.
What is Dungjuka?
Each Dungjuka has its own color, shaped by different emotions such as sadness, joy, love, loneliness, and anger. Every character carries the feeling it was born from.
Bringing Dungjuka into Reality
Through animation and projection mapping, I bring Dungjuka into real spaces, allowing them to quietly live alongside us.
Dung Gang is more than a group of Dungjukas.
It is a growing community of people who connect through them. Through my works, Dung Gang continues to expand into new forms, new places, and new people.
